Potential Future Pairing?.....

JasonGonzalez Jul 01, 2006 06:26 PM

I have a female salmon that I picked up in trade and I am looking to pair her with either a Jungle Male or a Bloody male. The problem is that I REALLY like both males and I can’t make up my mind on what to purchase so I thought I’d get some other opinions/thoughts. Which would you pair her with and why?

By the way, here is a picture of the female just in case you were curious (photo taken by Mark Miller because he takes much better pictures than I do). Thanks for your input.

I remeber that female. She is so beautiful. I couldn't ask for a salmon with better color. How on earth did you get Mark to let that one go? I would personally go with a male jungle. But you couldn't go wrong with a blood either. Let us know what you decide.

Of how clean, colorful and contrasty (I think I just made that word up lol) she is. I just think her characteristics will really compliment the Jungle gene. I don't think you can go wrong either way. Good luck Vinnie

Tough Choice! I wish my choices were as difficult (see next post) I would probably go with the Bloody male and make some cute little bloody hypos. Beautiful boa you have. You could not go wrong with either choice.

The color of that hypo. is unreal. Why mess it up with a blood. Then having so so looking hets. A Jungle will allow the hypo colors to stay the way they are, but just give it more contrast, and sharper clean lines. The jungle would be a perfect match IMO.

That female is incredible Jason! She will make nice babies even if you put her with a Normal.

As far as suggestions for a future mate, that is a tough call. I think that I would first put her with a Jungle since you would get Salmon Jungles from that breeding. I would then use the revenue from the Jungle babies to get a Blood or even a Bloody Salmon Male, which would give you possible Super Salmons het for Blood.

Either way you go, I'd wager you will soon have some babies that many folks are going to want!

That's exactly what I plan on doing. After thinking long and hard last night (really sleeping long and hard but oh well) I have decided to go with a Jungle male for her first pairing. I would love to get into the bloods right now but my gut is telling me JUNGLE! Now if I can just stay focused and stop dreaming about all the bloody combos I'll be okay Thanks Denny and take care.
