This process usually happens in a 24 hour period. I feel lucky again to catch it. Josh

Josh, at what age do the eyes change. That's really interesting. I didn't realize there was a change.
Thanks,
Karen

Hi, there are two types of transluscents. One type are the ones that hatch completely trans with blue eyes. The other type auctually loses white and the eyes change over as they mature. Kinda like hypopastels gaining white as the grow but the complete opposite. The change depends on the animal. Some change at a small size and others change over at a year old. It is really inconsistant. I auctually had three in one cage that changed all at the same time. When I first bred trans years ago, I held on to a couple that were trans with normal eyes, because everyone wanted the ones with the blue eye and trans(understandable). These ones eventually changed over at some point and got added into my stock. Ever since, I have been producing them here and there. One of the grandparents of those two hypotrans on the other post was one. I get hypotrans and trans out of the clutches that hatch with normal eyes and change over at some point. It's interesting because their eyes are really sensitive for a few days after they change. The other grandparent hatched with the blue eye. Some will be stuck in the middle and have partial eyes which is pretty cool and more rare. Thanks! Josh

Thanks Josh,
Thats really amazing. We had some babies from a double hypo breeding that hatched looking very translucent. They do have the white but their bodies look very opaque. You just have some really astonishing dragons. I could look at their pics all day. Well thanks for the info.
Take care,
Karen
