Just go to paypal.com and setup a free account. Your e-mail address is your user name. It is pretty self-explanatory, once you have your user name and you log on and everything. Tell the person sending you the money your user name for paypal, and they will send the money too it...

You set up an account with them with a credit card and then you get Verified, you given them your Bank account number, they make a few small deposits and you call you bank to find out what the amounts were. If you want to be able to accept credit card payments you need to get a business/premier account. It's free but they charge you a fee everytime someone sends you money. Verified paypal users can send you money via e-check, so if you don't get a premier account, you can still get paid by some people. If you don't get a premier account, it's free to recieve e-check payments, but they'll charge you fees for the same payment if you get a premier account.
