This question is for all of you that make your own cages! Where do you get the sliding glass doors from and around how much would it cost to get sliding glass doors for the front of a 4' long by 2' deep by 2' foot high cage?
Thanks Cody

lookk in a phone book for glaiser, you can get the same tracks i use for mine form homedepot for 5.99, its called sliding door track, suually comes in 4ft sections (lucky you! no cutting metal like me)
the glass thickness will depends on the thickness of the door tracks (or vice versa), try to get 1/4th inch thick (seems thick, but at 2 feet long, 1/8th is easy to break)
and rememer that the pieces of glass will have to be about 2ft 1 inch long so you have an overlap in the middle.
and the height really depends on the tracking you buy, but id say 23 7/8ths inches might be a good starting point if the glass tank is 2 ft high
also, as the glasier to round the edges, no real reason here other then they seem to slide easier in the tracking then squared ones after sand gets into the track
its not horribly expensive, prices often vary from store to store

duh, forgot, the wooden tracks they sell do work, but they tend to break for no reason, so stick with the metal ones (plastic is ok too, but its hard to find anythign other then white)
also, instructinos directly from the track package
1: cut and install track with screws provided
2:Make height of each door 3/8 inch more then distance a
distance a is between the lip of the bottom track, and the lip of the top track )
3:make width of each door half the total width of the opening plus 1 inch
if it helps
the sku number from the track is
95546 00415
and tis made by Randall
