What is that stuff that is like the cricket water cubes but can be bought from a garden center much cheaper? I'm not sure of the name.. thats all I need.. *chuckles* I know its been posted before but I can't remember when and going through 10,000 posts to find it would be too much *L*

The chemical name is: sodium polyacrylate. I'm not sure if it has any toxicity when ingested, but I usually supply my insects with moisture from: fruits, vegs., spraying the interior caging lightly w/ water.

"Google" will give you others.

I don't think that it is the best stuff to use for providing water for animals. I know that the crickets seem to do okay on it, since I've used it for them in the past; but I have some anxiety about whether or not it could irritate the bowels of their predators.

Thanks.. I'll check it out before I do anything... I'm just trying to figure out a way to up my production a bit more.. and supplying more water source would help alot..My house is fairly dry... so everything dries out really fast..in a couple hours...But I'll look through the information before I decide to do anything.
