mojo4ca Jul 02, 2006 12:15 PM

i have a question bout feeding ...my leo was due for a feed but we didnt have any food all the worms died and so had to wait for next day to be fed and we got him crickets this time (first time ive gottin him crickets)...and he was sooo hungry obviously cause he ate like 5 of them ..is this ok to do? granted he was over due in being fed but my question is when it comes to feedin should i keep giving him crickets or even worms until he wont eat no more? or is there a safe limited amount per feed?

To miss a day of feeding is not a serious matter. Although many here feed strictly mealies, crickets will do just as well as food. Mine won't eat meal worms, only crickets. I find that Leos don't eat as many as my Fat tails, but you can get away with letting it eat as many as it will. some days they may eat more than others. five to ten a night or every other night would suffice.JMHO.
