As much as I shudder at the very notion of a "pet store" buy, when I saw this bright orange critter a few months ago, I just couldn't pass her up. She was cooped up in a small 10 gallon tank, right next to an older boa with a nasty RI. Big surprise, from a petstore, right?

So we took a look at her and I thought, well...we could keep her under some strict observation and quarantine for a few months...

My wife was amazed at how sweet she was. Very docile right from the start and obviously fairly well cared for.
She had just literally been left on their doorstep that morning, and by 1pm, we came along and brought her to a better home.

After a few days of rest, she very readily took her first meal with us. Every one of our snakes (other than babies) are on rats and we were concerned that she would be finecky, after most likely being raised on mice (and probably live mice at that). No such worries here. She at like a champ, and she's been a machine ever since. So enough yapping already...on with the pix!

Tell me this girl won't make some great orange litters! Along with the starting point of some high orange Sharp Sunglows or colorful Albinos.
