Barry, Do you think they produce more abberancies than other boa sp (or ssp)? Or is it just that I pay more attention to amarali, so I notice them more often? BTW, always love to see your pics up here. Andy Via

Both the Bolivians and South Brazilians produce extremely aberrant animals. I am fairly confident that this trait is genetic, I was able to reproduce it in Bolivians. The South Brazilians are especially prone to producing freaks, including the pattern shown above, patternless, complete center stripe, etc. A couple years ago, I had a female produce six "patternless" (reverse stripe) babies; both parents were thin saddled normals. If and when I get into morphs, these will be what I will use (lets face it, they are already morphs). Can you imagine these in hypo or albino (especially the ones with bright red tails)? IMHO they would blow away the motley and arabesque traits, or at least hold their own. Here are a few that I own (I produced almost all from normal appearing parents). I used to sell all of these for $1500 apeice, until I realized that people were snagging them up way too fast, LOL.

This one is gravid!

That's how many I count on a couple of those animals pictured. Those are some awful long tails for short-tailed boas. Some might even say *impossibly* long for a pure-blooded BCA.

Awesome boa that colour and those markings are really nice hope I can add some of your offspring to my collection one day.
