This question is for my daughter, and me sorta. She purchased a bearded dragon almost a year ago.He was doing fine, then started to have trouble walking. She took him to a vet who diagnosed MBD.Since then she has improved lighting, supplments, outside sun and generally been hand feeding him for months. His front legs are much better, hind still seems spindly. He moves a few inches a day, lays around, eyes half open, some yellowish disharge from mouth and sorta runny stools. She has taked several stool samples in also to be looked at,vets says no other problems.vet told her don't feed him forcibly for three days,he just loses weight. He seems to her almost retarded.(her words)She loves this thing, color and pattern, but is at wits end with it.It won't eat on it's own, will chew some and swollow when given leafy vegs and crikets.I think she is doing everything right(now),but no real progress.Would appreciate any input.thanks,scott.

yellowish discharge from mouth sounds like a possible upper respiratory infection. I suggest you have her bring the dragon himself back to the vet, or a more experienced vet for examination.

It will also be helpful to know more about her current setup. What is her basking temps, ambient temps, substrates, how old is the dragon? How long ago did he suffer from MBD? How big is he? How big is his cage? When did he start drooling yellow stuff from his mouth?
