Maryland EGGS FOUND

santoury Jul 03, 2006 06:15 PM

Found a clutch of 13 snake eggs. They are small, quail egg sized, and shaped. Fat at one end, narrow and pointy at the other end.
Basically a small oval is pointy at one end, like a bird egg.
Any input what these could be? About an inch in length on the eggs.
They are bright white.
A guy said black racer, but I would love to hear otherwise. lol.

Found south of DC.

Most likely black rat snake as racer eggs tend to be more round than oval. Racer eggs also usually have a granular texture to the surface.
