Blue Tree Monitor

graynightblue Jul 03, 2006 06:52 PM

Are there any breeders out there? I saw a pair for sale the other day but they were wild caught. I would love to find a par of cb blue tree monitors. These puppies are simply beautiful. The wild caught pair I was were 1.1. They wanted 1400 for the pair. Not seperated. Is this a reasonable price, or should I wait till one of the herp shows come to town? I tried posting this in the tree monitor forum but there doesn't seem to be much activity there. Thank you for any info.

thats not to bad of a price i usually see them for about 1200 up to 1800 for a for sure 1.1 pair. there are not really to many breeders of blue trees or greens or blacks for that matter, well there are quite a few breeders but hardly any that sucessfuly hatch babies.. so my point is 99% of tree monitors you will find for sale are wild caught. just look for long term captives with good body weight and for these try to find a reputable dealer(trustworthy) and get as much info on husbandry as you can BEFORE you get the monitor so he has the best chance for suvival.......

thanks
