Shedding issue

wspatterson Jul 03, 2006 11:05 PM

Hi, my leopard gecko seems to have a minor shedding issue and I don't know what to do about it. He has shed fine except for one piece of skin around the base of one nail. It doesn't seem to be constricting, but I know this is a problem. So what can I do about it? I've tried dipping his foot in water to see if it might come off on its own, but so far I've just irritated my gecko. Thanks.

wet the end of a Q-tip with warm water and run it down the gecko's toe, it should peel off. If it still won't come off, try to get a little section loose and use tweezers to take the rest off. gently!
