Do not let the air temperature get over 96 degrees (they will literally cook). I set up my cages with three heat areas ranging from Cool 84 -85 degrees and heat tape areas (from underneath) to 95 degrees, for a healthy well adjusted Burmese Python.
If they are newly relocated or get sick, then adjust the heat so that they stay near 94 degrees until they adapt or get well, then slowly go back to the former.
The next most important factor is humidity. Keep it at 60 – 70 percent. This is close to their norm and many bacteria forms do not survive in this range.
The third factor is sunlight. Use a UVA/B lamp on a timer set to simulate your daylight cycle. Most will tell you that it is not necessary for your snake, which is true. The real importance of UV light is that it kills bacteria.
