This is one of my new Pyros. Never before seen here on kingsnake!

It is not really a good picture of her as her yellow is much brighter in person. It's my fault though, i am testing out a new digital camera with lots of buttons and i am not 100% with it yet.

Nice Mike. Is that from Chris Baubel's line?

Here is one I collected from the wild on the 4th of July, 2004. My daughter named her Firecracker.

I picked up the female in my original post at a show from someone that i do not know. He had a trio for sale that were marked "Baubels Pyros" and i paid a little extra for the lone female who was by far the nicest of the three..

Although he told me they are from Cris, he did not have any proof. So, I keep her as a possible Baubel line Pyro.

I do have a very nice pair of Baubels Pyros (male pictured below) that i purchased directly from Cris that i am planning to breed her to in the future.

Greg,
I love Firecracker's hour glass shaped black markings. I have a knoblochi who is marked in a similar way. I know that people breed for the thinnest black markings possible. Can't help it--I like lots of black with no black tipping in the red. When I handle my Leon I see all kinds of things--mountains and Native American textile and beadwork designs, to name just two. Thanks for sharing the photo--Firecracker is awesome!

Great looking . Are you having any problems feeding him since WC ?

This snake was very skinny, almost emaciated, when I caught it. It fed vigorously on fuzzies right away with no problem. She always eats well. I keep one other wild caught pyro and she also is a great eater.

Out of the three pyros I have collected over the past couple of years only one was a problem feeder. I had to lizard scent fuzzies and he still went on hunger strikes from time to time. I gave him to a friend in Atlanta a few years back. I'm not sure if he is still a difficult feeder or not.

Thanks for the info thats interesting . I have a friend that has 2 WC Mt type kings (not sure of type but know not Pyros) .
He caught them as babies they are great feeders from day 1 eating tinie pinkies and now small mice but their babies are difficult feeders only taking lizards for first few feedings .
