What a day!

Well, yesterday my Florida king eggs started pipping, I was thrilled to witness that for the first time.

Then I go down to change water tonight and see that the female Fla. that laid these dumped her water everywhere, cleared half of her enclosure and laid another ten good eggs right in the middle. I wasn't expecting that.

She copulated only two weeks ago, so she must have saved some sperm from spring. I was just starting to notice she felt lumpy. As with her first clutch, there was no pre-lay shed. She hasn't shed since right after laying her first clutch.
