I forgot I took these pics, and there...

is a good reason for it. They're HORRIBLE! But, even though they're horrible, you can see how beautiful he is!
Check it out
No flash, a bit blurry too (told you they were horrible)

W/ flash, I hate using direct flash but oh well... that's what happens when you can only shoot inside.

He's a CB male from a WC gravid female that was caught in the delta region of the Essiquibo river in Guyana. I purchased him to go w/ this REALLY UGLY female also born in captivity from a WC gravid female from the same area.

That's a MUCH better pic. It's about 2 years old (maybe even 3 years??) but I've never managed to take a better pic of her, so I continue to use it

Here's to hoping they prove out this year or next, whenever I try them.

Forgive the lame attempt at poetic license...
but wow! Great looking animals there. Funny how what must be the male's "truer" colors come through in the blurry non-flash image...you can see how the flash washes out some of the lavender tones and dulls the intensity of the red in the tail. Nice boa.

But the WC female, geezus! That's right up there with some of the most breathtaking BCC I've ever laid eyes on! That color...that tail...I'm salivating. Awesome find.

p.s. I could be completely off base, but I remember seeing a picture a while back on ks of a boa that looked a lot like that one (shot against a similar background too.) I remember that the caption said something like, "this was a boa that looked mediocre and lacked color at first..." Am I remembering right? Same animal? Or should I lay off the crack pipe?

hmm, in reference to the crack pipe, I'd probably put it down regardless of what my answer is! lol
But seriously, I have posted that pic before, and when I first received her, I thought she was an amazing animal and I could see the potential in her, but she didn't have a drop of color on her body. This is one of the first pics I saw of her...

So like I said, you can see the potential, but there ain't much there. That pic was taken almost 5 years ago, she was born in August of '01 and I purchased her shortly thereafter.
Anyway, thanks for the comments!
