Fair price for breedable pair of het pie

gone_balls_crazy Jul 05, 2006 06:01 PM

I am wondering what you all think a fair price would be for a breedable pair of het pieds? I have been out of country for the past year and the market has changed alot from the last time I was shopping. They are both early '03 babies. Thanks for your help!

First off how well do you trust the seller? I only ask because most breeders would not let a breeding size het female go. I would be willing to pay around $3-$4,000 for a female. The male should be virtually a throw in. Just be careful if the seller did not produce them himself find out who did and check up on it. There was a larger company that has been busted for selling fake hets recently so make sure you are not buying from someone who is trying to pass the scam off on to you.

The hets are coming from a buddy of mine that I have done busines with in the past and he has the original reciept and photo ids from the original breeder who I have already contacted with the photo id numbers and they have verified everything. He is only thinking about selling them because he has just bought 2 1500 g visual pied females. He just told me to figure out what was a fair price for both of us if I want to buy them. Thank you for your thoughts.

Is the percentage of het the pair is. I am thinking they are 100% Het?????
If not a poss het will be worth a lot less.
Just my two bits.
Best of luck.

Sounds good then if you know the seller well. It still does not make sense to me though. Even if he did buy 2 visuals it does not make sense to sell an adult het female. If he would breed her to a visual male in the winter he would probably end up with at least 2 or 3 pieds. Just seems short sighted on the sellers part, but I guess thats good for you.

of short sighted people right now, gotta love it. It makes the morphs more affordable so I can buy them in quantity and produce more and when they jump out coz the price fell another $500 I will be producing twice as much because they unloaded their animals to me .
