Right now I'm currently near Miami Beach, i'm staying in a hotel right near miami beach, and i have no ideas where to find some herps, here for family reunion, i know i'm near Collins Park, Iwas wondering if anybody had info on finding anything in this area. I really need help. I'm pretty much on collins Avenue, do think i could geckos here if i went out at night? Please Help me. Also I might be able to get over to Key Biscayne. Any info would help.

You should have no problem finding geckos in Miami Beach. At night they are crawling around the walls of just about any house or building in South Florida. They especially like to hang out around lights (porch lights, etc.) b/c bugs are attracted to the lights.

If you can make it to Key Biscayne do it. There are a lot more herps to be had there...including a lot of exotics. The end of Crandon Park is loaded with green iguanas and spinytail iguanas. You should also be able to find many species of anoles, more geckos, curly-tailed lizards, and basilisks. Snakes are harder to come by, but corn snakes (Miami phase) and racers are not an unreasonable expectation. Good Luck.
