What size female emys emys?
I need to take her dimensional data still, but here is the low down on the eggs:
32 from what I believe was the clutch deposited right around the 5th, and 7 that I'm pretty sure are from another clutch I had no idea was even there!
I did not measure all the eggs, but the quick 'average' on a bunch I did check was 38mm x 41mm and 34 grams. These are smaller than I think they 'normally' are, but then this is not a huge female that laid these eggs. Her dimensions later...

muriel and i are excited to hear more....there is not much written on these torts as you probably well know and usually the info leans more to the "black, phayrei" subspecies. i just read the other nite how emys emys have a much smaller clutch size averaging 5-8 eggs(Tortoises,Walls,TFH publications)....oops they got that wrong, (note to snooty boy aka columbia: the printed word is not always right and nothing beats real life experience). i am dying to know her dimensions. we have 2 "known?" females in our group of 9 and originally thought we were still years off from eggs. ours are 12 and 13 inches long measured from the bottom. best of luck! john and muriel yocum

i measured them last nite a straight line measurement on the bottom with the tortoises rear end against a wall is 11.5 on one girl and 13.5 on the other. i also have a 10.5 sold as a "guranteed" female and she? does appear to be but i would'nt stake my life on it yet. please please post her length! john yocum
