Do king eggs need to be kept in the dark

No. I've hatched them warmed by a light bulb.

Now wether it is better to keep them in the dark or not, I don't know. I've heard light can discourage mold but I can't cite any research papers on it.

Thanx again Funkyres for answering all my questions. I'll work on a lid for my incubator (cooler) so I don't have to keep opening to check humidity.
