If you happen to come across any gems let me know. I am looking for a really good looking female. My current female IJ is small, but nice colored.

I've been scooping up all I can find lately...and that's not been very many.

Adult female anything are few and far between, so you just have to keep an eye open for them. When you find them, you'll have to pay, though...probably $250 on up for an Irian Jaya.

Ben usually has a bunch of WC Irian Jayas... I guess it just depends on whether you are willing to go the WC route or not. Both of mine acclimated quickly, and have grown fast.

BTW - One was 3 ft, the other was 4 ft... $125 ea is what I paid. The 4 footer should be ready to breed next spring.

I'm looking for a real looker, from good known bloodline. I have learned not to just buy the cheapest or first I see. Even though I was warned against, I had to try. THe problem with buying an IJ from somebody that is not known is that it might just be WC. SO many snakes from Indonesia, and the New Guinea area are wild caught. On my trips to Indo. I have seen huge quantities of snakes, mostly retics ready to ship. I have bought 3 IJs that I was told were captive, but I really doubt it now. ONe business no longer exists and the other does not reply to me when I ask them questions. THey were helpful before I bought, but not after. SO if anyone has or comes across some real smokers, and I know the price will not be low, let me know.

Matt
