Is that a male or a female? I have a male that is almost that color. Very nice looking Yellow Rat Snake.

...yep hes a male...the last remaining part of my breeding colony (i sold them 2 years ago...he was just a baby)...now hes 3' and thick bodied too....he comes from wild caught stock that has produced a lot of 5-7' males(glades county florida breeding stock...probably a yellow x everglades bloodline lots of yellow hardly any black at all,red eyes, and a red and black tounge)...now im looking for a proper female to breed him with...

Here is a picture of my female. It is her brother that looks a lot like yours. This photo is about a year old so she is much larger now.

....looks just like the ones i used to breed...i need to get my hands on a female....i think yellow rats are underated pets...my favorite colubrid cant wait to start breeding them again...thanks for sharing post some more pics id like to see them!

Sounds like I have the same locality. I have 11 eggs cooking from this pair right now. Oh yeah, that's also the mom at the top of this forum page. I love my yellows and they are definitely my favorite colubrids too!
