Being prepared for a bite(just in case!)

-Holly- Jul 06, 2006 02:07 PM

If you plan to, or already use the vinegar/alcohol trick to get a monitor to release his bite, why not be prepared and have a bottle like this on hand. I desperately hope you never have to use it, but from what I’ve heard from every person who has received a bite from anything bigger than a newborn hatchling, a minute is long enough to be in very serious pain. All of them said they never expected it to happen; a lot had to find someone else to help them get loose.

This little bottle can be used easily with one hand, has a tiny spout, if you are careful you can give only a drop to a small lizard. It will also stay out of their eyes. This bottle comes from a beauty supply (is sold empty) rinse it and fill it with your choice of bite deterrent and put it in accessible place. Noxious stuff like this is not good for the lizard, so please only use it if you have to.
Hope everyone had a nice 4th
