blue-eye dragon

Pdragon1 Jul 07, 2006 01:35 AM

This guy was produced from a f2 bloodline cross white transluscent(gravid one I prev posted) The f2 bloodline has no trans genes at all which makes this one an oddity. Usually you have to breed these hets to produce blue eyes. I am still completely baffeled by the whole thing. Josh

Cool dragon Josh. Funny how that showed up like that. You know when i first was getting into dragons I was shopping at sandfires booth at a local show looking for Buddy my hypo pastel. In his group there was one there with solid colored eyes like that. I picked the prettiest hypo up, and said this one has a problem with his eyes LOL.. He was snatched from me, and I was told not for sale so fast it woulda made your head spin. He told me at that time a few of their hypo pastels were hatching out with the dark eyes, and they were holding them back for projects.

Sorry hit submit before I was done above. Anyway I was told it was something they had popping up in the hypo lines, but at that time I was told it had not yet been issolated, and reproduced with any regularity, but they were holding them back for future projects. This was before trans dragons ever hit the market, and hypos were the hot item. Figured I'd mention this as maybe your trans was bred to a sandfire hypo. At any rate enjoy the head scatching that goes with that one LOL.

Hmmm... I wonder why this mutation hasn't been produced already in numbers if it has been around for a while. Maybe it isn't genetic, who knows. I'll see what happens with this guy. Thanks, Josh
