Try dropping the crickets ontot he salad. He might taste a mouthful of greens when he goes for the crickets. You could also try dropping meal worms onto the salad. It worked for me.

First off give her salad in the morning and no bugs till afternoon. My dragons just sit and look at salad if they get bugs first. Also babyfood squash is a big favorite and a spoonfull on top of the salad won't hurt anything. The previous post said to drop crickets or mealies works too and I totally agree. Also some of my younger dragons don't eat well from bowls but do well with paper plates. I think its because they can see the salad better. Mine love dandilion flowers so maybe a flower on top won't hurt either! Good Luck. She'll be worth the effort!

Dropping silkworms or butterworms onto the salad work really well. Silkworms tend to crab onto the greens with their 'feet' and thus your dragon is bound to get some greens with each silkworm. Small to medium silks would work best with the size of dragon you have. Also, I wouldn't recommend mealworms for your dragon. Superworms would be a better choice.
