earth worms

dont earth worms have soil in them that has to be taken out?before being fed out.

It's not necessary to void their gut. But if you prefer to do so, leave them over night in cool chlorine-free water.

The soil in the gut is the only reason that earthworms can have a positive calcium to phosphorus ratio. If you clean the worms then you have to dust them with a supplement.
