Colors?

Do Bearded dragons colors get brighter as they get older or start to fade, because Rusty(thats his name) seems to be getting some pink on his arms and face and his orange is getting brighter. Also if someone could please take a look at this picture of Rusty I took today, and maybe tell me what your best guess is as to what color morph he is. It would be much appreciated. Oh also the girl who sold him to me said that he was a sandfire X thats all she knew about him. Thanx again

It just all depends on his genetics. Some dragons color up with age, and some are really brite as babies and fade with age. Sandfires color up with age. If you want to brighten his colors even more, give him some natural sunlight each day. That'll really help bring the colors out.

I've also heard that beta carotene, like in carrots also helps bring out yellow and oranges. I guess if they can turn people orange why not dragons, I throw a couple to crickets as my beardies don't digest the carrots too well. Rusty look like my sand fire x 'Butters', who has brightened considerably with age.
