OK, I know, snakes on a lizard forum... But, hopefully, we're all complete reptile aficionados here.

I spent years diving Florida rivers for fossils & Indian artifacts. The lizards love the whale vetebra 'cause it's not only a good basking platform but it's also hollow. For what it's worth, I've seen artificial tree trunks at Petco & PetSmart that have about the same dimensions & look very nice. You may want to search the net for fossils. A very large number of bones have been recovered in the last 20 years & I'm sure many are on the market. Whale vetebra should be relatively cheap. A ton of mastodon & mammoth vetebra are also out there & if the spinous processes are missing, they should be cheap also.
Good Luck!

I could go looking myself as I live in Florida also.I used to look for Indian artifacts myself found a bunch of perfect arrowheads, pot's and other odds and ends. The place I used to go is all fenced off and you can't get in anymore.I'll have to do some searching around myself and check on the web as there would be ton's of it I'm sure.It would make a nice addition in the cage though!

Yeah, Diamonds are alot of work for the eye to brain circuits. We don't keep nearly as much as in the past, just keeping what we enjoy the most. Greens Trees, Womas, Ringed, Children & Carpet pythons. And some Trans-Pecos Ratsnakes. All in all, I'd have to say that Womas & Diamonds are my all-time favorites. But, those bug-eyed Trans-Pecos are also a pure joy.
Thanks, Eve,

I know I always enjoy seeing other pics, especially when things are slow. We all know one another here and most of us have many other herps to enjoy as well.

As long as we label O/T before subject FEEL free to add a pretty snake pic for our entertainment , here and there,
