Tongue-in-cheek study of a normal BP

PiedPeddler Aug 02, 2003 02:34 AM

I've been perusing the classifieds for the past few weeks and am intrigued with all the traits that a normal BP can have in order for the seller to ask a premium price. So I assembled this set of photos of my 5 pound breeding female.
"Blushing" in the dark pattern on her sides and her head!

All those dark specks weren't there when she was a baby...Her melanin is increasing! WOW an IMG! And look at those white margins, that's got to be a "High-white". Wait...Increasing melanin is dark and she's high white, she must be "High contrast" too!

And take a look at that "Busy" pattern!

A 5 pound blushing, IMG, High-white, High-contrast, Busy patterned proven breeder must be worth thousands!!! Anyway, here's a pic of her with her mate. Honestly, I am curious to see if there is a dominant pattern between the two. Eggs due to hatch in 30 days! Wait a minute...Isn't that male a "Bengal"???

Nice. Those are some great looking balls. What a couple of "screamers." Thanks for the laugh.

Well, shoot! That means the babies will be Blushing, IMG, high white, high contrast, reduced busy pattern bengal het for normals! I gotta have one of them.

I'm sure they'll be nice, and at the least they'll be captive bred and well cared for, unlike some of the heart-breaking, starved, and dehydrated $9.00 babies discussed in some of todays posts.
