Whats this, your borneo produced some eggs and you've hatched them out.Nice little guys you have there.Looks like even a marble too cool.My big red threw some eggs on Friday, but she laid them all scattered.Didn't have a nest ready for here but I've put them in an incubator anyway just incase but I think they have been rolled.Well congrats on your clutch looks like a nice variety of colors.Later, Ethan
Ethan, yes theres some other weird things goin on with these guys too. Thanks for the kind words. I'm sure you'll get atleast a few babies out of that big girl. How many eggs did that mammoth throw anyways? I had a nest for this one but she didnt use it and about four eggs had been slightly rolled, it looks like one ended up infertile and another is a runt. Best of luck with your eggs man, stop by a little more often why dont ya!

She threw 12 eggs.2 were massive, and I think one runt.Hey what are you using for your incubator, just a sweater box and heat tape?.I ended up doing the Rich Crowly trick with the icechest.I had to make it the same day, lucky I had everything to make it, I'll post some pics here soon.I had just emailed Kevin Marter the other day too to sell my pair of reds so I can buy this boat I was wanting so I was a $1000 short.Well turns out the boat was a piece and I backed out of the deal before any money was set, the day after I offered him them.I felt bad but then it turns out the wife is trying to get me to sell them off, so I offered them back but he's not interested no more, can't blame him, I *%$# up.We'll see how it goes, I still have my sarawaks and borneos up for sale.Still can't believe you pulled it off, didn't even know you had a pair breeding or gravid, or atleast I don't remember. Can't wait to see more pics as they start feeding.Later, Ethan
Yeah my female threw 12 eggs also.I was in the exact same situation.I was not ready and she layed the eggs scattered.I collected the eggs and made a nest box and slipped her right back on the eggs, she took to them like duck to water.I made the incubator 2 weeks later. As long as you collect the eggs in 24 hours of them being laid the embrio has not set to their northern position (the top of the egg resting on the yolksac.)It's when the embrio sets at the top and then gets rolled it dies and is no lnger viable.I posted new pics of my girl up top.
