chahoua egg ?'s

monremonda Jul 09, 2006 11:13 AM

Hi,
I got a pair of R. Chahoua last fall and they have laid eggs for me, I have three so far. One from the first clutch and two from the second. I have them incubating a fluctuating room temps in a moist cup of vermiculite. I have heard that they can be difficult to hatch out. Does anyone have any tips. The first one is at about 70 days, and I have read that it can be anytime between now and 120 days. At a certain point should I try to pip the egg? Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

I have just hatched out 2 this weekend at 91 & 92 days. I had the eggs in vermic in the gecko room with temps between 75-81. I have not had any problems hatching the eggs out, and the youngsters always seem to thrive. Relax... they pop out when ready.
