That's not true dude...there are cultures were people are taught to respect and revere snakes and not fear them outright. I love snakes but if I see anything that scares/suprises me I'll react in a primitive way. That's a human response toward safety in general, and not limited to snakes. After the initial shock, it's all culture.
I've converted many a person to at least not kill a snake. They usually call me and ask me what it is, I go get it, or they chase it off with a broom stick or something. At least the snakes are hacked to pieces.
But you are right, some people will never change, but you can't blame it on biology...it's culture.
