I think they're the same thing, but I'm not 100% sure of that. I know they look the same to me as far as reduction of black. I know there's Salmon, Hypo, Orangetail Hypo. It could just be different bloodlines of the same genetic trait. Some of them could have better color. Maybe they don't muddy up as much as adults or something. I really don't know, but this Hypo/Salmon thing confuses me too.

Anyway I'd also like to know if there's a difference and what that difference is, if it exists.

Along the same lines, My understanding is that they're ALL hypos, "Normal" hypo being the base morph. My understanding is that salmon, orange tail and others, are bloodlines created from selective breeding of hypos, for different yet specific traits. Someone please shed the light of clarity.

this forum and the consensus was that az gunner stated it correctly......

Hypo is the basic morph, Salmon, orange tail and any others are simply specific blood lines created from selective breeding of various hypos.

a Salmon is one kind of hypo and an orage tail or G line is another ,so there is 2 examples of hypos ,im not sure if there are any others
