STILL GOING.........

AshLopez Jul 09, 2006 03:26 PM

Well Ruby laid 12 eggs and excluded 5 from the clutch.I was able to put all 5 in a incubator, however 3 eggs got real stinky molded and died. She still on her eggs and are due to hatch in 2 weeks.I know it looks real dry in there with the aspen bedding.Believe it or not the humidity is at 75.I tried raising it to 80-85 but she would come loose from the clutch. She does that when there is too mutch humidity and completely covers the eggs so that you can't see it when there is a lack of humidity.I placed a big water bowl by her nest so that she would not have to leave if she got thirsty.I have caught her using it in a few occations. She still refused to eat. Here are some pics of my incubator made from a ice chest. The black spot on the egg is newspaper.

Right on Ash, she looks really good. You scored a nice looking girl and got a clutch of eggs.Well hopefully you get something out of them.I still look on here time to time just don't post so much anymore.Looks like she's taking good care of those eggs.I'll post some pics of my incubator maybe tomorrow.Later, Ethan
