Anery Goini X for Keith and Rainer......

Brandon Osborne Jul 09, 2006 04:37 PM

Here are some updated pics of the anery stripe. He's a little chunky in the pics....I just fed him 3 fuzzies. Let me know what you think. I have 11 eggs cooking from the same pair and she's bred again.

Thanks

One of the best looking new morphs I have seen. Well not really a new "morph" but the combo axanthic trait with the goini is incredible. Truly a gem of herpetoculture.

One of the great things about it is that it will keep getting better all the time. Watch the timeline on this one! I guess it is striped, I don’t care what anybody says, they are usually male too! Eventually the patternless will be bred into everything, and I say that is a very good thing. Can you see the albinos, whitesided, and snows, oh my!

Brandon Osborne Jul 10, 2006 02:40 AM

I agree totally. I've only seen one striped female....and she was the origin of this project. She passed away last year from an extremely large egg stuck in the oviduct. I do have another female that is semi-patternless. I'll post pics soon.

Thanks

read the title once more. It says Goini "X". It's 3rd generation offspring from goini X anery/axanthic brooksi. I've never tried passing it off as pure Goini....although I probably could have.

Thanks again.

I figured the X stood for something... But I also figured it wouldn't hurt to ask.

Thanks for all the kind comments. The eggs have about a month to go, but I'll post pics of what hatches. I'll get new pics of the patternless orange when it shed.

Sulfur Brooksi are on the way too!!!!.....and not lavenders, although they are pos. hets.

Thanks again.

WOW what a beauty ! Hopefully the brooksi in it doesnt fade that stripe too much as its an awesome contrast. Thanks for posting.

I know how you are about crossing ssp., so I really appreciate your input. As far as the contrast of the stripe goes, in my experience even the pure striped animals will have a faded stripe as adults. I've had several over the years and they always speckle out. Regardless, this snake is still going to be a bombshell as an adult.

BTW, I just sexed the patternless hatchling......it's a male as suspected.

Thanks again.

I'm neither Keith nor Rainer, but I looked anyway. Congratulations on a lot of excellent--and quite rewarding--work (and also on your engagement).

Steve_Craig Jul 10, 2006 01:24 PM

That is one beautiful animal.

I greatly appreciate the comments and kind words from all of you. I never thought this snake would get the praise it's recieved on this forum....being it's a cross. I'll be posting more pics as the next clutch hatches. Let's hope for lots of anerys. The first 2 clutches of 23 only produced 2 anerys and the other wasn't as spectacular. We'll see what happens in the next 5 years. Wish me luck.

Thanks again.
