blotchie dad - signs of aging?

lele Jul 09, 2006 05:02 PM

When Ana is in her laying tank Stan began to burrow to bed early - I thought it was sweet, like he missed her. But after this last time he is doing it daily (and she is in with him) and sleeping REALLY late! Today I had to feel around for him to make sure he was not dead! He "goes under" around 5:00p.m. and does not surface much before 8 or 9a.m.!! They used to be up before the lights were on! Is he just getting "old?" Ana gets up early and stay up late - she must be a teen (has had 4 clutches in the time I have had her!) I got them at a show in April so have no idea how old they are. I have read they live as little as 2 years, but somewhere else 5 years. :-/

thanks

btw, I knwo this is not a blotchie forum - can't find any - and Eve said posting her was OK. Just don't want anyone thinking I am "intruding"

just be worn out latley , hehehhehee he sure has been quite busy thats for sure. It may be age, but I would just enjoy them and not think about that shame they do not live long.

Congratulations on your new blotchie youngster/s Awesome, need some pics lady, lets get with it, LOL

Hey , you have been getting some great advice all sounds good. I told ya the CHUCKWALLA forum IS the place to come for desert lizard help. Most of us CHUCKERS here keep and breed the awesome desert critters , and have a love and respect for them.
