Hello,
I wanted to let this list know that the turtle world lost a great veterinarian and a great person Thurs. night. She was one of the great turtle minds and a true pioneer in reptile medicine. She started and ran The Turtle Hospital of New England. She was one of the nicest people I have ever met and she always put turtles first in her life. Thousands of turtles have been single handedly rehabbed by her hands. If there was a turtle heaven there is now a person up there to help them out

Turtle Homes is trying to come up with ideas for a memorial or a fund in her honor. If you are interested or have ideas please email at Turtlehomes@aol.com.

Anyone that knew Barbara Bonner knows that her soul purpose in life was
to teach. She believed the answer to all the Chelonian problems could be solved
with education. As members of her board we wanted to come up with a way of
honoring her memory and passing on her legacy. We have chosen a Memorial
Scholarship. Applications for this scholarship will be made available once
things
settle out but we would like to begin to honor her memory now.
