i have a panther who is about three months old. i feed him small crickets. i was wondering when it would be ok to start to feed him different insects. how can i tell if the insects are too big.

As long as the insects are of an appropriate size you should be able to give it different insects. The best way I can think of describing the size of the insect is to use ones the size that would comfortably fit into the chameleon's mouth.
