Nice clutch of MONSTER BULLS cooking....

shannon brown Jul 10, 2006 02:49 PM

I was very happy to see 18 perfect huge eggs a couple weeks ago from this w/c 8 footer. She has been in captivity since june of (04)so she is very aclamated and has calmed down pretty good.I still can't hold her cause she will rip me open but she doesn't strike at the glass all the time anymore.
I put a 7 foot f1 male on her so we should see some nice strong babies.
Anyways,I have a huge list already so please no e-mails regarding the sale of any of these babies.
Thanks Shannon

I have had bigger eggs from this line but fewer in the clutch.I guess the trade off for haveing a big clutch is have the huge eggs.Last year I thought my f1 six footer was going to drop a dozen or so but she laid only five eggs but they were bigger than any pine eggs I have ever seen including my L.A. pines.
The eggs went about three weeks then all turned bad?
Anyways,These guys should be pretty big as these eggs are alot bigger than a clutch of 17 hypo stillwaters I had last year.
Take Care,
Shannon

Thanks phil,
Yes they are from Val Verde county west Texas.Hyw 277 to be exact.I have had males from this area well over eight foot but this is the largest female I have ever had.
I will get some more pics for you.I released a male last year up there that was collected in (04) but never did that great in captivity. He was 8 foot six inches when I released him.
Anyways,I can't wait to see some of these babies grow huge in captivity. The have the blodd and with perfect conditions we should see a nine footer in a few years.
