Thanx for the welcome

Hi All,

Wanted to say a quick thanks for the warm welcome, I am no stranger to reptiles so far with an asian waterdragon, and a sulcata tortoise here already, but it is always a good idea to research!!! So far the best advice and tips that I have recieved have been from Bert himself, right down to the "stupid" questions!!!
The problem I am having at the moment is convincing everyone in my life that this is a good idea, and that Tegus are not mean!! So if anyone has a cute, fuzzy story for me, it would help!!! lol

Anticipating august 16th!!

ps) pics will be unloaded on you for sure, so be ready

When I clean out the old bark in Santiagos cage ,I dont take him out of the cage . He will come over and dig in the same place were I am removing his bark . He likes the kingmealworms when there i the Inbetween stage . Not a beatle yet , but also not a worm any more.He just stars digging and I have to move him a couple times so he doesn`t get in the way . Santiago is 4' 2' and 16lbs- Thanks Russ

When I look at that pic, its hard to believe that my 14" B&W Tegu could get that big hehe.

Welcome to the tegu forum, Leyla! Can't wait to see pics of your new baby B&W!

A few cute things my tegus do:
- sit atop my head while I'm on the computer
- drag & hide small household items under the sofa
- "tripod" for a better look at things
- entertain drivers while basking on the dashboard (Is that thing REAL?!?)

Don't worry, adding a tegu to the household is a GREAT idea!

When my Tegu is done with his bath, I wrap him up in a cloth and he goes to sleep inside it while I hold him.
