... pretty neat.
.

.
.. the rest of the litter are not hard on the eyes either. The photo is from today, 10 days after birth and one day after the initial shed.
.
Cheers.

Thanks..

Question, what (if anything) could be the significance of the opaque-looking black eyes on those critters. I've never seen anything like it in a Peru redtail (or any BCC) and don't have a clue!
.
Regards.

I noticed that unusual eye coloration myself. In my opinion it is a result of the noticeable increase in melanin. It really looks like something that may be genetic(maybe a pure BCC blood). Since you are not really into morphs may I suggest you just pack that guy up and send him to me lol. Congrats it looks like you are having another great year over there. I guess the saying is true even breeding is bigger in Texas by the looks of the Suriname litter you just posted. Congrats again Vinnie

Hi Gus,
I'm not really sure what it means here, but I can tell you that I've seen eyes like that on bloods, leopards and I believe a small handful of Type II Aneries has them as well. Wish I could be more help! lol

From the picture the eyes do not appear to have any pattern.
