Live in Riverside but have hunted around the lake for years, incidental to camping. Found many beautiful (blue and pink) specks in Copper Canyon and Atrox are to be found in virtually in every wash. Should I ever encounter those mitchelli on future trips, I'd be inclinded to collect a pair to try captive breeding. They are that special.

I have caught a few snake at Havasu incidental to simply hanging out. About 15 years ago or so, I found a very nice 50/50 black & white Cal king swimming in the river between Topock and Havasu. I have also seen a few Gopher snakes over the years. My friends who lived there found a Sonoran ground snake once.
