wounds

I have a pair of tibetan frog eyed geckos. Just now I found a wound on one of their backs. I had been wondering whether or not they were 2 males or a male and a female. I am separating them now. Is there something over the counter I can use to clean the wound safely?

I always have povidone iodine solution available for my lizards, (NOT regular iodine)

Povodine or Betadine iodine solution, the povodine is the same thing (Cheaper) it's an antiseptic cleaner for cuts , burns so on.... and helps fight any infections.

And then I apply neosporin or an antibiotic ointment.

Hope your guys wound heals quickly

Be careful handling them because their skin can rip easily. Its an escape mechanism...if they lose part of their skin but escape from the predator they can have a chance to survive.

"They can easily loose sections of skin if they are not handled properly."

Thank you for your response. The wound is very superficial and I actually have all of that stuff here. Now that Foozy has his own house, I think he'll be ok.
