PLEASE HELP

yesterday i gave my leo a superworm or kingworm whatever and ate it so i gave him two more, i think i made a mistake, it was hard for him to swallow those ones and tonight he wouldnt even eat one. he would look at like he wanted to eat it, and then back away, like he was disgusted or something. I also put in a mealie in there and he didnt look interested. is this because he ate too much the night before and is full or do you think something might have happened to him because the worms were too big?? he also hung out in his humid hide a lot more today rather than his favorite cylinder shaped dry hide, any help would be appreciated.

Could be getting close to shedding. I haven't had mine long but I have noticed their appetite drops sharply just before a shed. That might explain the humid hide-camping as well. Are it's colors somewhat more chalky than usual?

What is the size of your leo? food selection should be the length between their eys and not much bigger. I have a good size female and she still eats 1/2 inch mealies and medium size crix. Post a photo showing some size relevance. Put a quarter next to his head or a ruler next to his body. That way I could judge what size is most appropriate. Super worms are quite large and should probably not be fed in excess. Your leo also might just be too full to eat anything more the next day. This is just my opinion, so please don't send apersonal attack on me. Smaller is better, because it is safe rather than sorry. Again, just my opinion.

Good comments from the two earlier posts.
Also, remember that these animals sometimes don't eat every day in the wild. My leopards will eat crickets/mealworms one day and nothing the next. It might just mean that he was full the second day.

Again, good comment about the size of the meal but I've sometimes been suprised at the size of worms these animals can eat! Little piggys!

Good luck,
Wally
