More MoonGlows...

CrestedGecko.com Jul 11, 2006 09:19 AM

We were recently able to follow in Mark's footsteps in the MoonGlow world. On June 13th, we produced 2 MoonGlows in a litter of 17 babies and 8 slugs. The father is a Tripple Het from Frank Martin. The mother is an Anerythristic Het Albino. We also produced a snow, sunglow, ghost, 3 hypos, and also some anerys and normals. These animals are EXTREMELY difficult to photograph as the colors just don't seem to show up on the photos. They have thin, bowtie saddles and definitely look different than snows. We'll post updated photos as these shed and grow.

Thanks!

Here's a photo of the other MoonGlow. A tripple homozygous boa. I can't wait to see what's next!

Glad to hear more are being produced but so far there are no "triple homozygous" moonglows. By your pairing of a triple het to an Anery het albino, the most any offspring could have would be 5 morph genes, 2 albino, 2 anery and one hypo. Better said triple morph.

Still, way cool and major congrats!!!

It's cool to see that there are more Moonglows this year!
I don't know why, but it's cool...
Congratulations!

Congratulations on producing those guys! I'm curious to see how their coloration will develop as they grow! I would also like to see one in person as I know how difficult regular snows can be to photograph.

Thanks for sharing the pictures!

Crazy looking! They are definately very yellow compared to my moonglow. It will be interesting to see them mature!

SUPER congrats on TWO MOONS BTW!

They are actually a more glowing white when you see them in person. I'm going to try outdoor photos next to see if I can bring out the color a little bit better. They are definitely cool-looking snakes. I'm looking forward to seeing how yours looks at Daytona this year. I'd like to compare yours to mine to see how they match up. See you there!
