My snakes (mainly my brbs) seem to know the day when I'm going to feed them (probably because they smell it lol) but anyways, i just think its funny. For about 5 weeks in a row I'll take out my brbs, and my BCIs to feed them. I usually feed my bigger boas first then move to my brbs. Well...everytime I would open the cages to take out my snakes, one female named Escape' , Would always prey bite me. Never had any problems with my other brbs, but that one snake would strike at the first warm thing near her. I wanted to see if she only did this when she smelled food, or if she did it at anytime. I took her out on a day I wasn't feeding her and she was totally fine. Its just very interesting how she goes into EXTREME feed mode when she smells just the tinest hint of a mouse. My other one, a male named Bent-twigg, wouldn't really snap at me but when I would put him back (in his old cage when he had a heat lamp)and he would sense the heat and snap at the lamp lol. He did this a few times. I just think its so amazing how keen their senses are.How they can just sense the tiniest amount of heat or scent or prey. I get a lot of people asking why do I like snakes because they dont do anything. Its true that snakes dont do much, but what they do do and can do is totally awsome!
