is the extreme hypo a line bred trait or another form of a recessive hypo gene?

it is not a line-bred trait, but it hasn't been determined to be simple recessive yet either.

thanx paul,
im assuming that since it has not proven recessive and its not line bred that its just luck of the draw.
do your chances of getting an extreme hypo increase with lets say breeding an average hypo from an clutch that contained an extreme to another from a extreme clutch. or do you have to directly have an extreme as one of the parents.

regarding the trait being recessive, it hasn't been proven or disproven yet.

Mike Falcon probably has the most experience breeding siblings of extremes to each other. I can tell you that you don't have to have an extreme to produce one, as mine have come from regular hypo x hypo breeding.
