I hardly ever see pictures of Capes posted on here so I thought I would take some new pictures of mine and post them.
These guys are one of my favorites that I work with. Hope yall like them. Later, Randy Whittington

In the words of steve irwin 'they're gorgeous'
Seriously though they are the nicest capes i have seen.
YOU have to go and show picturs of these beautiful snakes and I think my buget is gone.I have others coming but no capes.I'll have to sweet talk the wife.Anywat those are gorgouse snakes,JIM
I agree i have only enough space for 2 new projects. I kinda settle on some hpo brooksi and a pair of hatchling sonoran gophers. But now after seein those pics im all goofy about what im gonna do
Are they breeding? Del and I have a pair that Del tried to see if they would go this year. They didn't, but next year should make it their first. If you're patient, these guys are great to work with and have in your collection. By patient, I mean don't try and power feed them or feed them too frequently. Alot of people try and build their girth up and they are really one of the thinnest pituophis. Every cape is a little different in color and pattern which makes each one unique so to speak. Thanks for posting pics. I don't usually see you post pics of a snake that doesn't get over 7 feet. LOL.

I just hit the submit button twice on M2 by accident.
I'm not breeding any of them this year but will next year. Here is another male that is much younger that all my others. Later, Randy W.

I just rushed through the other pics too fast I guess. Looks like you'll be producing a good supply of nice capes beginning next year. Capes are one of the few pituophis that double clutch. I'll have to get in line for a pair of yours in the future so I can diversify our pair's bloodline. I feel capes are in their own limited range on the southern tip of baja that breeding different bloodlines will benefit captive breeder stock instead of having a negative effect. I don't know how many separate bloodlines originally came from baja on permits. but there can't be too many. The capes here might all trace back to only a few original breeders. I think it's getting time to breed different bloodlines together. This is just my view, I really have no arguement towards breeders who keep their bloodlines inbred.
