creative setups

i got this pretty large (50 gall i think) tank and want to do something really cool with it. i know pacmans are real simple and don't really need much but if any of you have setups other than just moist coco fiber and a water bowl and wouldn't mind sharing some ideas i would appreciate it. i had my pacman in a false bottom but i ended up nixing that whole thing it wasn't working out the way i wanted it to or at least the way i constructed it. so any ideas would be great. i've visited the black jungle vivarium site and they has some great ideas for backgrounds, trying to get as many ideas as possible. thanks.

A 50G tank is a little to big for 1 pac. I have heard that people divide up large tanks with plexieglass, and keep multiple frogs in the divided sections.

Good luck.

to big in a bad way? like not good for the frog or jsut pointless having a big tank for one animal?

A little of both. First if you leave crix over night, the frog will have a smaller chance of eating an amount he would eat overnight if he were in a 10G tank. So, the smaller the tank the better chance a criket will go up to your frog.
It is also useless for the frog, just because Pac's don't move. Having so much space is like one single person living in a huge mansion: not neccessary. Just like the example though, it does not hurt for one person to live in a huge mansion, nor does it hurt a forg to live in such a big tank. The only problems I can see are: heat distribution from one end of the tank to the other, the cix problem I mentioned above, and the overall maintence of the tank (the substrate, humidity, etc.)

I guess if you can fix these problems and any others that I missed, you can pull it off.

Whatever you decide, make sure to enjoy your Pac!

Good luck.

i really would not suggest putting a pacman in a tank you plan to make look like a dart frog tank, he'll probally reck it, theya re bulldozers. if you make a background i hope you know he will never go on it. i mean, look at them. you could get darts, treefrogs, reed frogs, or fire-belly toads or something, all those things would utilize the tank. treefrogs would damage the plants though. contact if you have any questions.
