I found this:
ball-pythons.net/forums/showthread.php?t=28414

The short version is it seems to work pretty well as long as you only need 1 or 2 mice now and then.

Personally I use a 16 quart cooler from Wally World. It cost $6 more than this doohicky, but I can fill it with hot tap water (not oht enough to cook) and let it thaw out a pile of mice or rats while I clean cages. I have to change the water once to get enough heat if I'm doing a bunch of rats. Most snakes don't seem to mind the mice/rats being wet, and some seem to prefer it after a while.

I just started using f/t for my juveniles - I put the frozen rodents into a zip lock bag into a pot of hot water, and used a coffee bug to weight it down.

Warm but pretty dry.

I suppose for large quantities, that wouldn't be practical.
Once all my snakes are readily taking them so I can buy bulk, what I plan to do is vacuum seal the rodents in packs of 6 a piece - so that I can just throw the vacuum sealed bags into the warm water to warm them (thawing them overnight in refridge the day before feeding day).

Helpful Hint.
I vacuum seal f/t rats, mice, and small chickens. To avoid a big mess in the baggie with your food item be sure and puncture the bag to allow air back in before thawing.
The vacuum inside the baggie will draw blood from the mouth of the food item as it thaws. It will turn a baggie of white mice red and is messy.
Allowing air back into the baggie will prevent this.

SO it should work for only one mouse?

Yes, but it is a waste of money.

1.Take a mouse (f/t), a plastic baggie, and a tupperware container.

2. Fill the container with warm water. Place bagged mouse in the water.

3.Wait until thawed.

If you want quicker results, raise the water's temp, but don't cook the mouse. Also, use something to submerge the mouse (the container's lid actually works great), or you'll have to flip it during the process.
